Dr. Fritz Exner Colloquium
Since 2006, the Fritz and Helga Exner Foundation funds a bi-annual colloquium, led by leading university professors in core disciplines of Southeast European studies.
The Dr. Fritz Exner Young Scholars Colloquium is aimed at young scholars (usually doctoral students, possibly also master's students) from various disciplines - from history and cultural studies to political and social sciences - who would like to present and discuss their work on Southeast Europe with regards to the main topic of the colloquium. Interested parties can apply for participation via a Call for Applications.
Dr. Fritz Exner †, honorary member of the Southeast Europe Association, used the opportunity of his 80th birthday in 2006 to thereby add another important component to his intensive commitment for young academics (dissertation awards / travel grants) and to research on Southeast Europe.
